JUNIOR MARKET LIVESTOCK SALE

1.
|
The sale
will be conducted in the show arena at 3:00 pm on Friday,
October 5, 2001. Only market steers, market lambs and market
swine will be eligible for this sale. All prospective buyers
and interested parties are welcome to attend.

2.
|
Twenty-four
(24) of the top place market lambs and the top 2 market steers
and top 2 market swine will be eligible for the sale. Each
4-H and FFA member may sell only one (1) animal at the sale.
In the event a member has more than one (1) animal eligible
for sale, they must notify the Division Chairperson immediately
after the judging which animal or animals will be withdrawn
from the sale. All grand and reserve champions must sell.
It is the exhibitors responsibility to monitor the sale
list - it changes minute by minute.

3.
|
There
will be no top weight limit for any species. All weights of
sale animals over weights stated below will be donated to
the buyer.
Maximum Weight ; Steers: 1250 lbs. Swine: 250 lbs. Lambs:
120 lbs.
Minimum Weight; Steers: 850 Swine: 180 Lambs: 80

4.

Order
of sale shall be: Grand Champion of each species; Reserve
Champion of each species; Balance of lambs according to placing.
2001 species order: 1) Swine 2) Steer 3) Lamb
|
|
|
5.
|
A 4 percent
commission will be charged on all sale animals to help defray
the cost of the show and sale.

|
6.
|
Animals
sold at previous Fairs & donated back to exhibitor cannot
be shown again. Any exhibitor caught with this violation will
have sales withheld and the animal will not be returned.

|
|
7.
|
Buyers
will not be permitted to donate animals back to exhibitors.
All animals sold through the sale must go to slaughter. (Terminal
Sale)
